There is no cookie cutter shaped like "leader" or "team." Each person, each team, has a unique way of responding to business challenges.  But all leaders and all teams increase their effectiveness by taking the same first step:  they become aware of the habits and assumptions of their personal leadership style, and the impact of that style on others and on their circumstances. I work with clients one-on-one and in group sessions to facilitate their new awareness, and their ability to consciously choose the most successful strategy.

Building Strong Managers
Often employees are promoted into a management position as the next step in their career path, but in fact, management is a career in and of itself, and it requires specific skills, talents and attitudes.  Through a series of workshops, supplemented with one-on-one sessions, I give new managers the tools and techniques they need to negotiate their transition from technical competence to management competence.

Now that technology has made it possible ... even necessary -- for remote employees to be part of a team, it's essential to stamline communication, maintain focus and ensure that remote team members are fully integrated into the team process.  I support your development of remote teaming strategies that create a cohesive unit from a geographically dispersed cohort, and enable the seamless effectiveness of your virtual teams.
 
Maintaining High-performance Teamwork
A high-performance team gets right down to it... it knows how to define the necessary tasks and works swiftly to implement solutions. But a team that isn't functioning effectively has difficulty with the simplest decisions, and your organization starts to leak productivity like an old tire. If your teams are functioning below your satisfaction threshold, I work with them to identify their particular roadblocks, and then I help them develop the skills necessary to communicate efficiently, defuse conflict, gain consensus and reclaim valuable time.
